Pollygarden is a ceramic studio based in Seoul, owned and operated by Min-Jeong Kim and Joo-Ah Hong who love to explore the confluence between paintings and ceramic works. Much inspired by what is drawn in flat, their products were made in the process of reinventing intuitive drawings into dimensional accumulative of clay. The idea of giving life into the clay created practical decorations and sculptures that gives new energy into our living spaces.

The manufacturing process of all products is done by hand at Poly Garden Studio from start to finish. Each piece has its own unique shape due to the accidental effects created during the process of kneading, pushing, and cutting clay by hand.

Unlike the products produced in the factory, the shape and detailed patterns of the cups are slightly different for each product. Due to the handmade nature of the product, there may be an error of less than 1 cm in size.

Press marks and small scratches, rough textures, black spots, pinholes and traces of glaze flowing from the process of shaping the clay and applying the glaze, and everything that the mouth touches are not in an exact circular shape are all part of the work.
